Is there a DIY video or write up on a coupe midpipe install?

Or is it as simple as removing bolts and putting them back on? I will be doing it this weekend, and I'll take some video of the sound clip before and after.

Thanks!

I replaced my muffler, and it took forever to get it done. The bolts are in such an akward position and the hangers were p!ssing me off. I hope he bolts aren't rusted in on my mid-pipe and everything goes smooth...

usually the nuts that connect the midpipe to the y-pipe are rusted on. I just finished installing a Nismo exhaust on a friends Z this weekend and I had to use a cutoff wheel on both of them. I was able to get one of mine off on my car, the other had to be cut off. The bolts are press fit in the y-pipe flange, so if you need to cut them off just get a punch and pop out the press fit bolts and replace with a regular bolt.

It's much easier to drop the hangars from the body with the exhaust.
...then remove them.
The rest is just re & re.

Your biggest problem will be rusted nuts.
I would recommend picking up some new ones for re-assembly.
& a few bolts if you have to chop them off.

It's better to have them on hand before you start.

LOL @ 'rusted nuts' but I will refrain from comment (just this once)

Hit 'em with lots of this first (rather than a multi-purpose lube/penetrant like WD40):

PB Blaster is the best penetrating spray you can buy, when it comes to cars.. You live in NY so rust will be your biggest problem, spray PB Blaster on all the nuts and bolts, let it sit and spray some more.. Being that I'm in Florida mine was fairly easy to take off, sprayed it, waited 5 min and used an impac gun and came right off, to get on some at the y-pipe you may need a universal.

Start soaking it in PB blaster days before you attempt. Just lean under the car, spray and walk away. Later on come back and spray again. Do it a few times a couple days before and then have at it.

But since it's exhaust, have a back-up plan if you snap bolts or nuts...always happens.

PB blaster!
My coupe mid-pipe rubbed the cross-bar that is there to catch the driver shaft if it separates.....I removed it and no more rub.
(This was on the 05 Sedan that I traded for my 04 Coupe.)
Coupe mid-pipe is bent slightly different that the Sedan mid-pipe.
I also replaced the front gasket and re-used the doughnut.

haha by talking about nuts and penetrant in the same post you might as well add the NSFW tag.

Sorry, I didn't have the restraint you did!!
