TSB and Recalls

I bought a 2003 G35 Sedan that has a rebuilt title. I was wondering if I took it to the Infiniti dealership will my car still be qualified for TSB and recalls?

OP - i think the point is to make a 3 second phonecall to your local dealer. i can't see why it wouldn't qualify for recalls.

there cant be a limit on duration or mileage for recalls... a recall is a recall - it doesn't matter how old the car.

TSB on the other hand, I'm not positive about... I suspect some dealers might want to deny - but good cust svc oriented dealers should take care of it.

I don't believe the rebuilt title will affect the recalls. But a TSB (technical service bulletin) aren't something to be "qualified" or "denied" for. They are just information sheets to assist the mechanics on commonly found problems.

If you meant warranty, then your rebuilt title might void that if they see that your car has a rebuilt/salvaged title. But only one way to find out.

+1. Recalls are recalls and must be performed when brought to the dealership.

TSB are to help the technicians perform work, covered under warranty if a warranty exists. I don't believe salvaaged titles qualify for any warranty work.

There is no warranty. The vehicle was considered totalled and therefore all warranties are now void. I'd get confirmation on this from Infiniti, but i know GM and Ford void once "totalled".

A reconstructed title means the car was rebuilt and deemed safe for public roads, but does not restore the warranty.

Recalls on the other hand are a grey area. I've heard it both ways. I've heard it does not need to be covered because the vehicle was totalled initially. This is something i'd def call up and ask about.

TSB's are just service bullitins. You will have to pay tohave any TSB performed.

* 90% of TSBs will be fixed under warranty, while you're under the warranty, of course.

Some good dealerships will do TSBs for free to keep you as a customer.
