Smoked a Crossfire

So my friend just got a Crossfire AT and we decided to hit it up.. i had 4 people including me in my AT and they were 2 people... we got to a red light and stepped on it.. I was using Manumatic and switched it over while on 2nd gear to Drive (btw i wanted to know if thats a bad thing) ... were up 40mph and im half a car ahead ... 60mph one full car length ahead of him .. when we got to 90 i was still one full car length.... but i still won... He couldnt believe a sedan beat him hahah...

Yeah, of course they have an "AMG"-type car coming out soon. Too bad because that ugly piece of crap doesn't deserve to rout us. I hate that car.

Nice to know you could beat one. Wonder how you would have faired without the two people in you back seat.

I think the Crossfire looks good…for a Chrysler. They definitely couldn’t have pulled that car off without Mercedes contribution.

Re: Smoked a Crossfire

Watch out for the SRT-6 version of the car: 330 hp, 310 lb-ft of torque, 0-60 near 5 seconds flat, and it handles well. The easiest way to tell the difference between the SRT-6 and the regular Crossfire is the larger fixed wing on the supercharged car.

Re: Smoked a Crossfire

I would so rather have the SLK on which the Crossfire is based. Funny one so beautiful the other so ugly ...

Re: Smoked a Crossfire

But at least, you pay 30 grand to get an AMG engine.

Re: Smoked a Crossfire

Oh, you'll pay a lot more to get the AMG engine. That'll top out way over $40K. Right now the car is at least $35K for the hardtop with a decent options list.

sorry if that hit too close to home.
But, yes I am criticizing YOU. First off street racing effects us all and has no place with true enthusiasts! If you want to go fast and race go to a track, or is that too scary for you?

Last fall a friend of mine was hit by a street racer and he and his wife almost didn't make it, her father didn't make it, was killed instantly! One of my co-workers at my last job lost a close friend when she was broadsided by a kid street racing (both died). So go ahead and keep doing what you do. Perhaps you are young and still think you are immortal. I hope your arrogance doesn't have catastrophic consequences....

Rant over....

I am with you...WildWildWest.

Street Racing is bad.....
They wont understand it, until they get hurt or one of their close ones get hurt.

accidents do happen. thanxs to FAST AND FURIOUS movies evryone think they are a racer. before the movies came out, no one bother us on saturday nights at the local races. most dont go there to race, but to show off their cars. street racing is HOT if you havent gone to one, make sure u do, and you will be hooked on saturday night fever too. cops dont even bust us, they make us leave by rolling up with lights on. too many cars around to pull over( over 100 cars any given saturday night)
no one likes to travel over an hour to get to a track , only to get 3 runs in all night. i can get way more runs in , by going down to industrial part of the city on week ends, streets wide and long with no cross streets, just factories.
and no cops, they dont care because no one calls the cops.
until they make more tracks or open on more days, then peeps will continue to street race. thats just a fact! street racing is hot and automobile companies know it, thats why they are offering after market parts straight of the show room to satisfy this need.

American car and some German cars ( not BMW ) are just a meat head. They know nothing but getting bigger engines and superchargers. Can they be creative like Hondas and BMW about tuning up the engine to make it faster than to be a plain meat head that only know how to work there chest?
