running lean
if the idle is stable no matter the RPM then most likely u dont have a vacuum leak. G's stock idle is very low and has nothing to do with it being lean or rich. A/F ratio changes on every single RPM anyway. Take it to a reputable shop by asking your local board members and let them diagnose the problem. Ticking sound is most likely from the drive belts.
I get a P0171 too, but only very occasionally (like last Sep, and Dec) I reset the code and no more problems
I also have a CAI. I'll be watching this thread for more info.

Depends on where it is located. There were three on my Explorer and one of them was impossible to reach. Not sure where they are on these cars. If you can reach it, they just unplug and unscrew.
^ i believe theyre right in the middle of the cats and we only have two. im gonna try a few things soon since i have about 60k miles im swap spark plugs and see if that works and maybe fuel injector cleaner ugh i have so many things planed for my car right now and this thing is the only thing stopping me
did any other things come up? i noticed my mpg was getting really bad up until the light came up and i was getting around 10mpg when it did..
UPDATE!!!!!!!!
went to another shop and told me the problem was that too much hot air was getting into my fujita short ram intake and it damaged my maf sensor. sooo i went home reinstalled the plastic part that directs cold air to the intake, ordered a heat shield, and ordered a new maf sensor from rock auto. today, i drive to school and the light was on so i was really hoping that the new maf sensor would come in, but on the drive home guess what? NO LIGHT! and the mpg shoots up from 14mpg to 20+

but im not sure what i should do now. should i plug in my obd2 reader again and see if everythings fine? should i return the new maf sensor i ordered?? any thoughts??

I'm running a CAI, but it's a long tube. Air comes from really low in the bumper.
Maybe the MAF was getting wet from water spray when driving in the rain??? IDK.

yeahh the shop recommended getting a cold air so not as much heat would get in, maybe your maf got a bit dirty from the water? id say clean it if the light comes back, its fairly easy
and alright ill wait and see if my car is cured
