Help! Check engine light

Hello,

I have a question and I hope someone can help me out. I had surgery and I couldn't drive for 4 weeks so I had the g parked inside my garage for those four weeks. Today I decided to turn it on. I went inside the house while the car was warming up, when I came back I found the nice surprise of my check engine light was on. I took the car to an auto zone so they can check the light. On my way there I didn't notice anything weird with my car. When they hooked the scanner up it came up with a misfire on cylinder 2. Does anyone knows what this means? Or if it has something to do with the car being parked for so long?

who knows. Reset the CEL and see if it returns. It isn't uncommon for a CEL to pop once and never come back.

this is by no means a proper diagnosis of your issue, but may help. Well it seems like its something to do with it sitting ( bad gas idk weird random mis fire ) try resetting the ecu and see if it comes up again. If it runs fine it could just be a hiccup in the VQ. Good luck I hope someone with more knowledge can chime in.

yeah its probably just a hiccup from sitting so long. Reset it, and fillup with some fresh gas.

You run the risk of damaging your engine if you continue to do this. Not worth it IMO.
