04 G35X Rear Knuckle bushings

I need to replace the rear knuckle bushings for an 04 AWD, I contacted some dealerships that stated you need to buy new knuckles. I don't want to buy two new rear knuckles just to replace the bushings. I found after market bushings (Whiteline) for coupes. Can anyone advise if the rear hub bushings are the same for the X? Vendor is not sure if application is the same.

I was replacing the rear shocks and springs and the shock mount bushing tore. I decided to replace all the bushing on each of the knuckles since I was taking them off anyway. Noise from the rear is to general to give you an answer. If you lowered the car, maybe the endlink?

Start with the easy stuff first before dismantling the rear end. Is it a growl like road noise or a clunking. When did you first notice it? Shortly after a pot hole? Check the rear brakes. Did you change wheel size in the rear? Clearance Issue? Check rear fender lining for loose clips. Then move on to hardware parts like wheel bearings, shocks etc.. You can always check the NVH sections in the service manual.

Sounds silly but do you have anything rolling around the trunk. Maybe the muffler hanger tore? Try putting someone in the backseat to isolate where the sound is coming from. Rear shocks upper mounts are right behind the rear seats. Check the simple stuff first, then move on. Check the brakes, then the rear end links, wheel bearings, shocks.
Check mounting locations for looseness.

I think Whiteline makes replacement bushings for pretty much everything in the front and rear of Sedans. I was reading this thread the other day and there is a link to a Vendor who sells various kits.

Definitely let us know how it goes. I'll probably order some of these as my bushings start to fail.
