Ok, there's been a lot of talk recently about the 05/06 lip being discontinued, and many have voiced hopes that one of the Vendors will step up and make a replica...
Since the last group interest thread sparked the beautiful Hikkatadori trunk, I thought it would probably be a good idea to get a thread out to gauge the actual level of interest in a replica lip so that the vendors can decide if it's worth it to produce one.

I'm adding a public poll so that everyone can show their level of interest.

One personal request... if someone does decide to make this, please either provide a version that fits the 03/04 Nismo bumper as well, or make one that will fit both the 05/06 AND Nismo, or at the very least, give instructions on necessary modifications to make it fit the Nismo.

Ionic has been gracious enough to take on this project and has been making swift progress on a flexible fiberglass replica.

A mold has been made from an OEM lip, and they will be test fitting it soon.

I wonder if making it in Poly would make it too expensive. I'm guessing the cost of production is higher since most of the aftermarket kits are fiberglass.

Maybe not the same oem style lip but I think a lip or diffuser would be a good product. It's gonna have to be fiberglass too. Poly is very expensive to make a mold of

I was talking to him about donating my OEM lip for production but he's in Florida so no dice. Too bad he isn't in Socal, I wouldn't mind an extra one.

 

^I saw that thread... he has an equal chance to step up, however he's not a vendor, so he needs to be prepared to step it up there also.
