staggered rims with same tire size
hey guys, ive read around and its advised not running a staggered setup on a awd sedan,i have 05 g35x.. but im gettin a really good deal on some 18 inch bbs rims and they are 18x8 front and 18x9 all four with a +40 offset, now would it be a problem if i ran the same tire size sayy 245/40/18 or 245/35/18

you can run staggered on an awd. The front and rear have to be the same rolling diameter. I am running 225/40/19 and 255/35/19 and have no problems.
If you want to do something that looks staggered and run the same tire size. I would suggest getting the same size wheel and run different offset so lips are different.

^ +1 to what itgogitrev said. A 225/40 is about 4.5% smaller than stock, which will likely cause VDC problems (it will kick on more frequently). You can also run a 235/45 front and a 265/40 rear, but tire selection is pretty poor in those sizes. Tire selection is much better with the 225/45 - 255/40 combo. I considered going this route with my car, but I don't like running tires smaller than stock (those tires are about 26", stock is 26.3").
