When using the auto up feature, the window will go up and then go back down about 1/4 of the way. What is that and how to fix?

I would say window reset. I've heard of them doing something similar and a window reset fixed it.
It's a good place to start anyway.

my passenger window started doing that, reseted it and it worked for a little bit. it started doing it again and i made sure nothing was interfering. just decided to replace the motor and i has been working perfect. i guess i can just start acting up if the motor starts to go out.

My car did this when I first bought it, I thought it was like some cool JDM feature lol. Then I realize that it got annoying and I needed to reset my window. It's really easy just take off your door panel and find this black sticker take it off and push the button. I was an idiot and didn't read the directions all the way and made my job harder then it should have been. (I tried to get to the button and didn't realize that it was a sticker in front of it that I could have easily moved)

My front driver window does it. The reset didn't work for me so it's either the motor or the window's position is slightly off on the rail and needs to be adjusted. I've let it be for the last year but maybe will try to fix it this summer; I just hate taking off panels cause of those clips!

Apparently a common issue (according to this forum and the dealership). Reset is only a temp fix, you should also clean the motors while the panels are out. If that doesn't work, then it is suggested to replace the window modules and worst case scenario the BCM.

My passenger side started doing that and now the switch doesn't work at all to go up or down. When someone gets out and shuts the door, the window goes down abit and it takes forever for it to bring it back up. Do you guys think I need a new motor?
