thats the only TC i found with high HP. with stock internals they aren't gonna get much past 280-300whp. its a 4 cyl toyota that doesn't have forged internals stock. I very highly doubt that a stock motor in a TC will hold up for longer than 1 or 2 dyno runs. The one i posted i believe is the Jotech built scion
EDIT: found their 533hp TC. as you see, not stock internals

Ok, since we're talking about tCs now...
Please note, this was my first Trans Am, and not my best run of the day. 9 in the 8th may not be impressive, but consider that was with the GM slushbox and a freaking 2.73 FD ratio

To be quite honest...since the cost of g35 ownership has plummeted, I see the kind of drivers I would expect to see in a civic now in a g35...mostly coupes.
Sedans are still kinda sedate where I live. A modded sedan might consist of tint, wheels, debadge and maybe a painted black roof...real clean cars most of the time.
Coupes are a different story. If I see an 03/04 coupe, most of the time it's some 16 year old eminem wannabe with his 9 year old girlfriend with her huge obnoxious bumblebee sunglasses on. He'll have some tacky mods, a loud exhaust and rev and race at anything that looks like competition.
When I take my mustang out for a ride on the weekends, there are two cars I hate pulling up next to. One are civics with fart cans and gauge pods (always show and no go) and older g35 coupes with young kids in it because they always want to race.
In a way, I'm glad I bought a sedan. Coupe owners won't even awknowlede me....even when I wave.

Well the thing is that the cost of G35 ownership isn't going down, but the cost of the initial buy-in is. if something breaks, it still mostly costs the same as it ever did. Same thing is happening in the NSX world. Easier to buy-in, but parts are still expensive, which means they either have to get rid of the car or have their parents forward the cash.Originally Posted by Mustang5L5

When I'm in my S30, few newer-350Z owners wave when I wave back, so I stop trying. Don't even expect it in a G35 lol. They're absolutely everywhere. It's not like you're in a 911 and he's in a 911 also.
I bet even 996 guys don't give each other the nod.Registered User

For the most part, i see G35s driven by older men and women, and almost 90% of the time it is a sedan.
I usually wave or rev at them when i drive by to garner some attention and to let them see how sick their car could look (
)
Now, when i drive the Corvette, any other Corvette on the road will wave back at you. It's almost certain. There is a following with those cars, and the people that buy them, know what they bought. It's like riding a motorcycle and how any time you pass another bike they give you the two fingers wave peace sign thing.
I wish most G35 drivers were like this ^

^Or make a thread on driver whining like a small child who has just broken their new toy and are mad at everyone but themselves, while simultanionsly fishing for some sort of pat on the back because they're young and they bought a car they appearently can't afford Originally Posted by usafdarkhorse

In fact, there's a little cross-over... you can sometimes get a little recognition from 'Vette drivers with a clean, good looking, well maintained Trans Am or Camaro SS
