I switched from the Honda (Acura) camp when I got my G.

One of the main reasons is because Honda has lost their engineering expertise. They used to come out with remarkable engineering advancements (i.e. VTEC and 110+ HP/Liter), but for a long time have focused on safety and fuel mileage. Here's the dumb thing though, if they stopped increasing the size of all their cars, AND used the ultra efficient engines they have now, they could easily make a fun and fuel efficient car.

My Acura 1.6EL (Canadian import) weighed 2600 lbs. If it had a 200hp K series, it would have roughly .075 HP per lb. My G35 only has .080 hp/lb! True the torque curves are different, but still...

So I lost respect for Hondas because the engineering focus shifted to what ultimately creates soul-less cars, while other manufacturers keep improving on the sport front.

I still don't bash them though.

 

I just bought a white 6mt, and still own a prelude. I see the perks for both cars and can appreciate both builds. But it isnt suprising that a lot honda owners are despised by other drivers. a lot of them are just kids. although i did come across a youtube video with a supercharged G and a supra that shows that any driver can be annoying.

 

I just dont like when they pull up next to me and think because I am in my G I want to race... umm no.

When I was in my chrysler they used to cut me off all the time and I actually got surrounded by a pack of shi**y civics on their way to a ricer fest. I wish I would have been in my G then. lol

I would drive a civic or accord as a DD

 

i had 90 civic it was fun to own abuse it and i still was running to day i got ride of it it true it the owner not the car they my make good commuter and some are nicely down but i love my g alot more

 

I don't hate the H-car. I just hate stupid people.

 

I don't hate hondas, just ricey hondas.

If anything having the G has made me like Honda more as all the typical "G issues" have shown me what a superior automobile Honda makes over Nissan. Never had issues like these in any of the hondas I've owned, that's for sure.

After selling the NSX and getting the G and my Z, I started getting the Honda itch again and wanted to trade the G for an S2K.

Drove one that was beat on pretty bad, but it was rock solid feel-wise. The transmission is just amazing and the car feels very planted and reassuring. She wanted to trade, but I couldn't do it because it just wasn't in good enough condition. If it were GPW w/ the full red interior, I would have signed it over in a heartbeat.

I'm thinking the next NSX will be Berlina Black again, but I've been tempted by Brooklands Green Pearl...
If you're an S2K fan, the next step ahead is NSX my friend.

I don't think the thread is really directed at S2000 or NSX owners.

It's like complaing about Sentra owners and then bringing up the GTR.

 

No, the G is AWD. That's why I own it and not a Honda. Yes the build quality of honda is MUCH higher, but the G is a MUCH better car for my situation.

 

the G is a better car. period
