I have a profound hatred for hondas on the fact that 85% of their drivers are idiots. I was simply leaving Mickey D's on Colonial the other day and a group "and i'm not embelishing this story" of 5 civic hatch's, with tow hooks, skunk 2 exhaust or closest knock off, rota wheels or traditional spoon knock offs start following me as I left McDonalds. Im riding down the road when it sounds like a swarm of lawn mowers are coming after me and they actually box me in and start trying to toy with me. At that time I was wishing I had my truck with my crash bar on the front just to take a couple of them out of commission....

I hate the honda Hatchbacks. Thats about it. I think those are the ugliest cars on the road.... i honestly try and think about cars id drive an EG, EK, etc hatch over and i cant even think of any. Maybe a Daewoo, buit even thats a stretch.

I like the coupe and sedan hondas though. Especially the Sis. I LOVE S2000s and the way they sound.

My biggest con with Hondas though (with the exception of the S2k) is the way they sound. I HATE their exhaust. Sounds so friggen bad. Not crisp clean, and stealthy sounding whatsoever. Just loud, in your face, and obnoxious.

Thats about my only beef with the Hondas. The exhaust and the hatchbacks.

^ RS.R sounds really good on any honda motor. Subtle with no rasp or whine

^Youtubed it, sounds better than most of the exhausts i have heard, but it still just isn't my style. I have never really been into the JDM tuner thing though. I'd rather just have a big cushy sedan to putt around in...

Barring the S2k, I haven't driven a honda older than a 91 that I've enjoyed.

I wouldn't mind an Integra for an alternate DD though.

Lately, they are all just soulless. Drove a 2007 Civic Si and it just felt so boring.
The 90 Prelude I had for a few months though, was a blast.

I'll take that as you've never owned one.

It will change your perspective.... if you actually own one. I still miss mine so f'ing much.

Here is a video of Honda Civic Type-R (Euro) vs. Audi R8 V10 in the canyons. The CTR fares pretty well in the turns... but the massive power in the R8 just smokes it in the straight.

As a person who visit's the drag strip at least twice a month, I will say this...

As for Honda's, yes there are fast ones, but the majority are pretty slow. The owners may think otherwise. I've been confronted by Honda owners at the track after beating them, even when stock on having "naws or juice" because they have never lost to a G35 in the street. At least they took it to the track.

Ask anyone who visits the track regularly, you will find most of them are noobs. Examples are, not knowing how to stage right, speeding down return lanes, stopping in return lanes, etc. I know what your thinking. This can happen to any group of cars. True, but the vast majority in my experience of problems have been Honda owners. I also volunteer at the local track as a track official and a tech inspector. I cringe sometimes when having to tech in a Honda owners because one of two things will happen. Either the tech card isn't filled out right, or they can barely speak English. Wish I would have kept on my spanglish sometimes.

Think about it this way. Usually, the Mustang crowd out numbers the Honda crowd. We usually don't have issues the the domestic crowd as we do with the Honda crowd.

Constantly revving up their motors for no reason is a common one too. Gets annoying. I've never understood the why Honda owners always have to rev their motors for no obvious reason. Is revving a Honda the way to diagnose an issue? I see it all the time. They lose a race, go to the pits, rev the motor and listen for something. What they f*** are they listening for? Here's the icing o the cake. If you beat them in the first 60ft, they automatically shut down and pretend to miss second gear. I see it all the time. A lot of times, they won't race other cars unless it's another Honda to avoid the hungry Mustang crowd who are always gunning for them.

Also, there was a group of 3 stripped Honda hatches at the track at Sacramento raceway on slicks and skinnies on the back. I watched them throughout the day. None of them could brake at 15 sec barrier. To an avid drag racer...skinnies in the rear and slicks in the front on a 15 sec car IS something to laugh about. LOL!

EDIT: There are a few in our group who owns Honda's and they too laugh at these guys.

Sorry for the rant.
