PSA: Powersteering Fluid
If your at 40k + and haven't checked it or changed it I suggest you do.
I am almost at 47k
And with my LED Flashlight underneath
I don't autocross or anything just city driving/highway driving and look at it, its almost black!
I am changing it doing the Reservoir Method
You can use a Turkey Baster or a Syringe with a tube
Suck out all the fluid in the Power steering reservoir, and then fill it up with some fresh fluid. I used Mobile 1 ATF($8/qrt), or use a Dexron III Compatible fluid of your liking.
Once you fill it up with new fluid do 10-15 full lock to lock with the steering wheel, then drive around and make sure the fluid gets around and get it up to operating temp so can check the hot level and then let it cool and check the cool level.
I am doing this 4 times today. I already did 2 times and steering got a lot lighter and steering response is much better. You can space it out, or like some people do it at every oil change. It takes 5min to do it and its simple and ensures you don't have steering rack issues in the future.
Edit: Here is a start to the 3rd time I replaced the fluid.
