I have an '04 and just swapped in the brake setup from an '05.. the first few days it was normal until one day i was driving, the Brake and VDC Off light came on and now stay on right when i start the car.
the brakes are in great condition with only about 10k miles on them.

check your abs sensors. Minor bumps in their position can cause this I believe as well. (this happens to some people after installing a camber kit and the installer bumping the abs sensors)

just my two cents...good luck finding your problems!
