^For a fee I'm sure.

Seriously though, just DIY... it's not hard at all.

if you're under warranty they will

still gotta by the covers, and for that reason it's better to let dealer do under warranty (and no, they won't verify problem and just give you the covers - I tried, because I wanted to get them painted then install)... So I'm gonna end up having to buy a pair

^Then why not just take the valve covers off your car, pack some oil soaked towels around the valve train for protection, have your valve covers painted, and re-install when done?

Need new covers - I noted the pooling several years ago (before there was ever a thread about it)... one of these days I'll buy a pair and get em painted - have way too much going on these days, valve covers are not a priority right now. Besides, I've had the pooling so long its obviously not causing problems (I probably just jinxed myself)

^I doubt it will cause any problems.

My number 6 plug was drowning in oil.

120,000mi + plugs that had never been changed or checked for oil puddling... yeah... there was more in there than I saw in ANY of the posts on the thread about it. Makes me wish I had a pic.
But my point is, it still didn't cause a problem

I dried mine out really good, changed the plugs, made sure to use plenty of dielectric grease, and then checked after a month and there was no oil down in the plug well.
I'm just going to keep an eye on it for a while. If it starts leaking again, I might just see if I can fix it with some RTV.

I'm under the powertrain warranty but my bumper to bumper expired in september.

Will they still charge me? Maybe I'll just DIY but it's starting to get cold.

New question/just people's personal take:

Alignment before or after new tires? (assuming switching to same exact winter tire size and still at stock height with stock suspension)

^Shouldn't matter.

I wouldn't drive very long on new tires without getting an alignment though, don't want to wear them early.

yes they should warranty. DIY is fine, but its gonna cost you $400+ in parts. Do it under warranty if you can.

try R&D Factory's O-Ring kit... I've been waiting for someone to actually try those.
