Random Little Question Thread
Cool. I'm just trying to figure out if Infiniti offers a rear shelf (part above the back seats) for the premium with a third brake light. I took my spoiler off and now have no third brake light. I plan to order a new one and want to make sure I get the right part. It sounds like they do offer that right part.
The reason most take it off is performance related (as minimal as it may be, it's free) - theory = cover on traps engine block heat and makes the plenum hot, therefor the intake air hot (same principal as using Motodyne Iso-Thermal kit).
For the last couple years, engine bay dress-up has been very popular = polished plenum & timing cover, wire tuck, etc... so the cover comes off to show off the engine rather than hide the ugly.
There is no good reason to have it on unless you are a chick that is not into cars and just dont want to see all the goings on in the engine bay.

and my 3rd brake light is built into the rear shelf center since there is no spoiler
with smart phones and bluetooth why would you ever want/need big clunky nav screen?
Movies and TV or whatever I guess... but there are better alternatives for nav.

'puter (or web browsing monitor) is the only think I would want display for... and I didnt know how to go about making it happen and wasnt interested enough to figure it out.
That's allllllmost sig worthy right there
^That's no all that difficult with an in-car PC. Plus, unlike the one on the NAV system, you can tweak variables on a car PC MPG readout to make it more accurate.
