it's the brake booster vacuum line (yes it has a one way check valve)... it can't be removed, but it can be relocated (some people tap into the back of the plenum to hide it)... the line runs along firewall to brake booster behind master cylinder...

Is there a thread for the HKS install DIY? I am trying to mount up my stock exhaust, but i forget which hangers and crap I am supposed to be using.

It's a different bracket for the 03-04 than the 05-06 and I am not sure how it setup again. I put the muffler on like 3 years ago. Just wondering if there was a thread with some pictures.

Wow. What convoluted routing!

Why couldn't they have just put it on the driver's side?!?

I guess it only makes sense in Japan.

Figured it out. Had the bracket lol HKS is officially off. It is so quiet. I miss how beastly my car sounded.

Yup that's what we did on mine. Tapped the back of the plenum and re-routed to the next to the brake fluid reservoir.

You can see where we tapped it in in this pic, see the blue Earl's fitting sticking out the back of the plenum. Did the same thing to my APS plenum.
