Random Little Question Thread
I think I have some from VLED at home... I'll try to remember to check over the weekend - I'm not using them so will sell cheap if you want 'em.
So I've toyed around with it, and the clunking is coming from the driver's side rear wheel well. I can make it clunk when I put down on the car from the inside of the trunk.
Could it be a strut mount going bad? If it is, what kind of expense can I expect for repair?

I have the LEDs and load resistor Ash (all from VLED)... I'll dig 'em out over the weekend and take pics, and look up the part numbers so you know which ones they are...
Or not - if you're not interested...
The reason I have them is they were gonna go in side markers - they are too big (and I dont have side markers any more)... but they should fit good in front turn signals.

Thanks for the help Chris and Mike.
Chris, no I haven't modded my marker lights (yet)
I think I may just go with these:

I made a projector lens to go in the blinker, and it REALLY pitches light out absolutely perfect from the amber incandescent 7440's I have in there now, so I don't want to risk messing up my perfect blinkers with LEDs
I had asked about LEDs before I realized how nice the spread is on the incandescent bulbs.

^^^ I'm using PIIA mirror amber (or something like that)... they are great for clear lens because they illuminate amber, but do not cast a yellow hue in the sunlight...
I'll look at the box for part number later (if needed).

I think they're Algernon Intelesse? I'm in love, I want my sedan to look like that! Scratch that, I need my sedan to look like that.

I ran the same bulbs too Mike. The PIAAs are very nice but also like $40? I actually just gave them away a few weeks ago (sorry Ashley).
I think Ashley only has the orange bulbs right now which will reflect orange behind the lense. Getting the chrome will eliminate that.

I have these right now:

The beam dispersion is 100% perfect, I just don't want the yellow cast in the sunlight.
I'm afraid switching to LEDs will make throw off the beam pattern since I have them behind projectors.
Right now it's all nice and perfectly even because all the light is coming from one filament, instead of a cluster of smaller light sources.
Make sense now?
The other question I had...
If I change my rear indicators to LED but the fronts are still incandescent, will I still need load resistors?
Notice how much more purple the taillights look?
