Would changing my "HR-like" Y-pipe to a M2 HR Y help reduce this weird rasp that I'm getting?

It sounds like there's loose metal rattling, when I hit the 2800-3100 RPM mark.

My setup as follows:

Berk TP 2.5"
To Y inlet 2"
to Y outlet 2.5"
Mid pipe 2.5"
Muffler 2.25" to 3"

I know I won't get rid of all of it.

I figured getting rid of that 2" to 2.5" change in my Y to at least a 2.5" to 3" would help with the rasp in the center of my car. I know I have rasp in the muffler section but it doesn't sound as close as the rasp I hear coming from the center of my car

it's probably just brake pad material that transferred itself to your rotors. try and see if you can get it resurfaced.

M77 is super expensive, you can use any high quality bearing grease as substitute such as Valvoline VV986(Sold at Advance and Autozone). I also recommend getting new cotter pins.

^ Sorry I dont know that info, I just bought them from the dealer they were pretty expensive for cotter pins. I was told afterward by friends that you can buy them at Advance and Autozone, But I don't have a size for you.

Do you have the service manual?

Cotter Pin is P/N 40073-0L700

Id call around to see if any local Nissan/Infiniti dealer has it, or you can talk to the dealers on here like Phil@Grubbs who will give you much lower price then 99% of the dealers out there.

I can feel excess heat coming from my car (I've only had it a week) it could be 100% normal but it seems like a lot. It seems to be coming from the wheel well. Is this normal? Any ideas?

I have a peculiar problem. When running AC after 2-3 miles, the rpm increases to 1200 rpm when we lift off the accelerator pedal while driving. Previously, it use to fall around 1k rpm or less. But now it stick to 1200 rpm and so it keeps maintaining the pace. Eg i am going at 40 mph and i lift my leg, the revs usually fall to 1k rpm or less, if AC is running, it sticks to 1200 rpm. Also while idling at stop it is around 900 rpm. Isn't it unusually high. Also the noise from the compressor is a little to loud than normal. I mean, it is so loud it can be heard 2-3 cars away in traffic. This is my first proper summer with G35 what with temperature reaching 100 F and more, so i am not sure if this is normal.

I recently had a throttle body actuator error but after I reset the code it didn't come back. But i have observed the above. Is something wrong with the car? I have got a quote of $99 for cleaning throttle body from infiniti dealership. Should i get it done. i am afraid it may damage some other stuff.

Please advise
