It's just better, and used oil analysis has proven it.

Check out www.bobistheoilguy.com.

They really like Castrol 0w30 Euro formula, Mobil 1 0w40 Euro formula, and Pennzoil Platinum/Ultra there.

Is there a quick way to aligning the hood (i.e. measuring distance from hinge to edge of hood?) or is the best way just the trial and error thing?

^the "everyone" of which you speak, puts too much stock in marketing hype. used oil analysis paints a different picture

Sometimes in MM, I get a little hint of squeal through first gear. I want to nip this in the bud before it gets worse. What do you recommend? Take it in? Replace fluid?

You have a little pig hiding in your engine bay that doesn't like how you shift in first gear and squeals

so MD XYZ pipe, does it needs a straight pipe, resonator or cat in order to be able to replace the stock Y-pipe? As far as i'm aware, it ships with either of those three option with the straight pipe being the cheapest. So are they necessary for installation? I have a stock sedan midpipe the only difference is the stock resonator is replaced with a magnaflow resonator.

EDIT: Nevermind I just looked under the car an answered my own question lol

I recommend you do research and not take the word of some random person on the internet (myself included)
Here's a good place to start:

Well I have what I think is a good question for this thread. Someone recently asked me how much my car weighs, and the Tag on the door doesn't actually say. I looked in the FSM and couldn't find it. I looked in the Owners manual and couldn't find it. then I looked online (here, etc) and the only thing I found was this from Wikipedia.org:

Curb weight:
3,373 lb (1,530 kg) (coupe 6MT)
3,395 lb (1,540 kg) (coupe 5AT)
3,395 lb (1,540 kg) (sedan 6MT)
3,351 lb (1,520 kg) (sedan 5AT)
3,483 lb (1,580 kg) (sedan CVT-8)

This is fine, but this clearly states that the sedan IS HEAVIER than the coupe. While this makes sense, I've been thoroughly led to believe this ISN'T true by members on here. Some so bold as to say that the Coupe weights in excess of 100 lbs MORE.
Unless this is strictly for the AUTOMATIC versions of both, in which case it DOES SEEM that the Coupe is about 40 lbs heavier vs. the Sedan when both are equipped with the AUTOMATIC.

It also says that the Automatic is LIGHTER than the manual. This to me makes no sense.

can someone clear this up?

The assumption here being that wikipedia is the de-facto standard for accurate information?
Not saying it's incorrect, but you may consider this: when does that very same article say that Nissan started producing the G35?

^ I don't believe Wiki, which is the bulk of the reason for asking. Where the heck can we find the RIGHT answers to this? Surely Infiniti must have released the curb weight of the models.
Wikipedia was the only place I hunted that actually had it listed.
