Try a different disc. Or perhaps a different type of disc. If your stereo really is shot, there are plenty of services that will refurbish your OEM stereo for $50.

Anyone experience rough downshifts into first when the AT downshifts for you when lets say you stop at a light or w/e?

I'm pretty sure, but not positive, that the G's cd player won't play mp3's, I'd be very surprised if it does.

I know it plays burnt cds, but likely not MP3/data cd's

If you have a G newer than '05 it should play mp3.
Mine does.

Yeah its disappointing.

But at least you can still use an iPod to cassette adapter which would technically enable you to play mp3s
If you ask me, this is a little more convenient because you don't have to burn any CDs

It won't cut out and give you radio static if that's what you mean.

Just buy one, they're like $15 at most so what do you have to lose by trying it out

I had no issues with mine, back when my disc changer was working. Played mp3 discs all the time. maybe the way it was burned? Burn it as a data disc, make sure you don't go over. Try a different brand perhaps? I used Memorex.

As far as I know, the early ones (03/04) don't, but 05+ does.

Yup, I do. I believe it's normal, but it all depends on the speed you're going. Usually gotta be going pretty slow so it's not rough, but hit it at the right RPM and the exhaust pops like a muscle car so to speak. Sounds hot, almost as hot as a cutie whispering something dirty into your ear.

Never had that happen to me here... When the AT does the shifting, I've never even felt it downshift into first.
