Random Little Question Thread
The VQ Is designed with Secret Oil Compartments, they are designed to work after 80k miles and start to store oil like a bear does in hibernation. You will never find where this secret compartment is(secret duh), the only way you know oil is going to this secret compartment is if you check your dipstick and notice the oil level is lower than before. No not right after your turn her off these secret compartments get air in them when the engine is running and constantly burp so you have to wait 20min to let the engine settle down, maybe some pepto might help who knows. But remember this is not burning oil or leaking, just check your exhaust no blue smoke no drips? I didn't think so.
IS it just me, or did Ford take a lot of design cues from the G sedan when they made this?

I cant help but think this every time I see one. My girlfriend didnt believe me, until one time when we were camping (we were talking about the g) and she said, speaking of g35s...referencing the oncoming car, and it was that ^

The last 15 seconds shows the rims the best. And is the red around it rim wrap?
Btw Sorry if this is wrong section

This video? The rims on this guy's G35 appear to be OEM ones that were painted black with a weird red ring painted around them.

All I have to do is tell the computer 'all is well', and I'm golden

BUT I don't know the specifics of how they test, I DO know that 95% of e-test Jockeys Will NOT have a clue how to read my O2 Sensors, Trims, and so forth, so I'm not worried much.
I think it's just you
Seriously? Look at the sidemarkers, grill and headlights!
In the Signal/Marker location? Yes, switchbacks will work great there. I didn't know they had an updated version or I'd have suggested them. The old ones were junk! That's $100 for a pair, right? Hopefully shipping ot Canada isn't much. If you get these make sure to let me know how they work, I may get them also if htey're boss!!! Good call dude
Ive ran switchbacks in there and liked them (But they werent bright enough)
Yeah its $100 for the pair preorder right now, regular is 130.
Im still thinking about the single LED setup though. I would prefer those ones listed above, but the advantages I see about not touching my headlights and going with 10 3W Leds is
Would look sick as Im lighting it up, I can have just the bottom LEDs on, then those + the white signal LED then those + low beam, all colour matched nicely
Theyre actually wicked bright, 200 lumens each. They can be used as fog lights demonstrated here:
http://v-ledsblog.com/2012/02/20/v-l...-installation/
and here: http://www.v-leds.com/Universal-LED/...-p9784361.html (see lambo)
The prices of both will come down in time though. Have you already converted your turn signal to a clear one?
Seems like everywhere is doing htis, many places have already done it. In Canada we're doing just an OBDII check and perhaps visual inspection starting Next year (January). Personally, I'm thrilled about this

Wasn't CA the state to start going crazy , above and beyond Federal regulations in regulating all of this?
So I'm probably/most likely gonna have my G by this/next weekend... first thing I'm doing is the MD Spacer.
Question I have about the intake... So barely any aftermarket intakes actually increase performance?
I've read that the Z-Tube/Stillen CAI is the best setup, so my question is do I have to order both of these parts and combine them or what? (Sorry completely clueless about this stuff, starting to learn about cars)
And what exactly is a pop charger? (Is it just noise and no performance increase?)
