Random Little Question Thread
The short form is there's little to no point in wasting money on Intake's. Get a higher flowing drop in, a Z-Tube, and possibly a REVUP Air box, if you really want to.
IMO, the REVUP air boxes aren't worth the money they cost. Z tube is a much better investment, save the rest of your money for a Plenum spacer.
Unless you just want the 'noise' associated with the cone filters, and don't care about actual performance losses/gains.

You can find used revup boxes if you take a little time and look.
Z tube does help, the stock intermediate pipe on the G has that nasty noise & flow suppressing baffle, the swap to a straight through pipe in that location will make a difference, it's the stuff before it that tends not to, IMO. Some speculation in all that, though. For the price I think it's silly NOT to get the Z tube, lol.
6 or 8 of these http://www.v-leds.com/Universal-LED/...viewsTabAnchor
(3 or 4 per side) in the black part in the ducts.
Not sure if I want to put them on top or below the fin (It will be on the outside side of the duct for sure)
It will be on the flat part. Also not sure if I want to bias them towards the center or the very edge.
Also deciding between a couple ways of doing it. Could do it like any of these ways:

IMO, the only LED setups that look even halfway decent are the NEWEST ones, that look just like a straight line, no dots.
Dots look ricey, even on the Audi's. I never understood the craze, but that's all just my perspective. That fad can't die soon enough, IMO.

the new audis are SO nice. Inspires me to get into headlight design....dream job. I agree, hidden light source is better. But I cant really see a way of making it work on the headlights, and I would really like white DRLs over the pale yellow ones.
Only other option I see is to put an LED bulb where the high beam is, but I like my high beams.
I think it looks good as long as it follows the flow of the rest of the car. I think it looks terrible when people put them in older cars, but the Gs still look like a recently produced car.

I agree, it is hard on the first gen to think of a way that would flow. Impossible on the OEM bumper, but I think it might work with a nismo. Ill have to see what I think when I get the sheet protectors
I would still like to see what your idea is. You know you can't please everyone. Everyone has their own taste. TunerMax doesn't like LED's but still has a stick on hood scoop. I think it's a Canada thing.
