Random Little Question Thread
Yup, I do. I believe it's normal, but it all depends on the speed you're going. Usually gotta be going pretty slow so it's not rough, but hit it at the right RPM and the exhaust pops like a muscle car so to speak. Sounds hot, almost as hot as a cutie whispering something dirty into your ear.
You can defiantly feel it down shift to first when you come to a stop, its normal but what I am experiencing isnt.
A) burn the media using a slower burn speed. That will oftentimes reduce any errors that may have been incurred if it was previously burned at a faster speed.
B) try to burn it onto different media. Some might think that all CDs are created equal, but there's still significant quality difference between different brands of (re)writeable CDs. Eg maxwell/memorex/etc are pretty poor quality compared to say Sony CDs
^And just to append that a bit. From burning numerous CDs and (even more-so DVDs) certain brands of burner seem to "like" certain media brands better.
At one point I had a couple drives and one did great on Sony media, and the other one hated it, though it would burn most other stuff just fine.

My car feels sluggish changing gears now that it's warm. It seems to be following the same shift pattern in the winter AKA shifting below 2K before the car got warm.
Do I just have to reset the ECU with this method? Do I have to do anything else?
1. Ignition "ON", count to 3.
2. Depress/Release pedal 5 times...hard and fast.
3. Count to 10 (not 7!) and fully depress pedal
4. Count to 12 (SES should be blinking), release pedal
5. Count to 10, depress pedal
6. Count to 10, release pedal.
7. Turn off ignition, then start engine. Done!

Sorry if my pictures come out large I'm on my phone
I was cleaning dust off my car today and noticed some brown spots that have surfaced through the paint and some bumps that haven't surfaced through. Can someone tell me what these things are (rust)?

I bought the car as is. From some discussions earlier in the thread, it seems like I have a 2004.5, but I was told if the car doesnt have the Nismo package, then the bumpers/sides were always the matte gray color. I'm guessing maybe the previous owner had it painted? Not exactly sure. But you think those bumps in the paint are just a result of a shoddy paint job?
Oh I see. What do you think the bumps/brown spots are? Should I just wash that area and try clay bar-ing?
Not to be an a$$ but i've seen oranges that are smoother than that paint. I can't really tell what it is in the pic, if claying it didn't remove try Stoner Tarminator or a more power cleaner but honestly i think it was just the crappy paint job. I'd wetsand it just so the paint is more glassy and that might remove the brown mystery spot.
Are 350Z front A-Arms the same as a G35 Sedan? I have 350Z springs on my G sedan sitting at 1.7 degrees camber in the front on the non adjustable front G arms, would the 350Z arms pull some of that out or does the Z sit at that camber stock? Or am i missing something.
Thanks
Thanks
