Tough call. I love the way BBKs look so I'd probably go that route. Ideally though, both.

Everyone: Do the 05/06 Gauges do a 'sweep' when you turn the key to "ON" just before starting?

Max626: If the gauges sweep, then you'll be fine as long as you get them close. Just get them close and key on/off repeatedly, letting it do a full sweep each time until it is calibrated.

As for putting them in the same location, yes, but I don't think you have the process correct. This is the proper procedure that will work for almost all gauge clusters:

1. Car cold (sit overnight or minimum a couple hours)
2. Fuel maintained at any point, you cannot run the car after marking it until you reinstall the needles otherwise the calibration of the fuel gauge will be off.
3. Remove the trim around the Gauge cluster until you have access ot he needles
4. Remove the stops for the Speedo, Tach and Temp needles (this is where the needles rest when the car is off)
5. Turn key to "ON" position
6. Use masking tape or something to mark all needle locations. Make sure you don't mark permanently on the visible gauge face area.
7. Now shut the key off, disconnect the battery, and remove the needles.
8. Do whatever you are doing to the cluster. Reassemble everything but the needles.
9. Connect battery.
10. Turn key to 'ON' and install the needles where you marked previously. Do this precisely.
11. Run it and check. Cross check tach and Speedo with OBD2 scantool/App to ensure accuracy.
12. Run up to temperature and ensure the temp gauge is in the middle of the gauge once at operating temp

Torn. -Need some advice-

Looking to trade my 18" sport stockers for the same style 19" rays stockers. I've found an individual that wants to trade but is wanting $350 on top. Trade includes tires of same condition. I offered $100 (but not accepted) because my wheels are near mint, his have a few scuffs. What sounds fair here?

Any opinions appreciated.

I've seen the Rays sell anywhere from $550-$1,200. The 18's, on the other hand, I've only seen those sell for as much as $500. You say he has a few scuffs, how much is a few? Does it look bad? If it's not that bad, I'm assuming he wants somewhere in the $900-$1,000 range. So for a direct answer to your question, his asking price on top is probably about right; although, I'd offer him a little less, maybe $250, and let him talk you up.

High Flow Cats

Alright, so Im looking to get some high flow cats. However, I know nothing about them. (brands, prices, hp gains, do I need a tune?) etc. If you guys could give me the low down on this bolt on mod, that would be sweet. Thanks.

So I have a 04 G35x Sedan and i been trying to find either nice lip or front bumper for it. I know they make the Nismo kit that looks like the 05 G35 front end but but what about the lips for these year sedan or other lips if i bought the Nismo front bumper?? I been looking on ebay and im not seeing anything that catches my eye so If any G35 owners out there that know any good lips let me know or send pix of your lip or bumper on your car so i can see.

thanks in advanced

Most will just say to just get ART pipes, and I'm not gonna argue. But if you must have cats, then Kinetix would be a decent entry brand, and Berk has been one of the more desirable brands. Whichever brand you choose to go with, just know that all HFCs will go bad much faster than the stockers, and be sure you're getting HFCs not resonated test pipes.

Once installed, you might find that you have a check engine light, but a non-fouler is an easy fix for this and is even built into some test pipes or HFCs. Because you'll be spending so much on the HFCs, I'd suggest finding a good one and then worrying about the non-foulers after.

You'd want a tune after any mod that affects your motor which will definitely help you make more power, but it's not necessary at all as your ECU will adjust itself to this just fine.

Kinetix HFC good cats decent prices compared to other brands, They give my car a great sound with a coupe middy and aftermarket muffler.

They used to sell for those crazy prices, but not really any more.
Anything over $800/900 for a 'cherry' set is getting a little silly.

The big variable is whether they have tires or not, and if so, what tires and what condition are the tires in.

Without tires factored in, $300-800 IMO is the range, rashed up being the bottom of that list, and 'mint' being the top.

Just my consideration, I was shopping for Those rims for a while also.
