I agree, but I dont know if it looks good enough to do it.

It would probably look better with an extra 1 or 2 LEDs on each side.

Other option is to put a turn signal there and make my DRLs look like this

But I dont know if its a good idea to put a turn signal down there because someone in say a truck might not be able to see it. Also Ive already invested money in making it look like that ^^ (Dual intensity - picture is just city lights, not turn signal which is brighter)

Agree, I just think it makes a nice looking, luxury/sport sedan look like a boy-racer Civic. The look could be viewed as an improvement on, say a civic, etc, but on a G35 it's a step backwards, unless you use the insanely expensive LED's and reflectors that are near impossible to source (these are the ones the good OEM's use).

And even then, it would be very easy to do it poorly. As always it's just my $0.02. Like you said, different strokes.

p.s. I don't have a hood scoop, wtf? Sarcasm, perhaps?

If it's an issue of the wiring, all you ahve to do is ground trigger the signal, so when your signal is on, it cuts the power to the Bright light you have now and wig-wags it on and off.

Once the signal is shut of, it defaults back to it's normal 'ON' position.

I just run with Headlights on constantly because of this. I'll be putting a relay in when I get my Quad Retrofit done so I run something else for DRL's. Perhaps lighting the G37 shrouds Im using like this

You have a White car though, have you ever considered getting some nice Yellow bulbs in there?

Agreed. Always wanted something clean (with a bonus if it looks aggressive) like this:

I would be tempted to leave it like this, but VLEDs say not to use this light as a DRL, no idea why. Gets too hot? Its not uncommon for my night driving to be longer than my day driving so I dont know why they think its OK as a city light but not a DRL. Maybe just not on at full power for the DRL.

I dont really understand what your saying. If I wanted to set it up as a DRL, I would grab the fog DRL wire and hook it up to a 6V to 12V step up, but I havent seen the circuit diagram. I would love to see the circuit diagram for the car. Maybe we can talk about this more in detail later.

I think JDM cain actually sprayed the inside with a yellow reflective paint. I guess yellow tinted bulbs would accomplish the same thing. I dont know if I like the look though.

In the pictures I edited with the white dots above, you can see how bright the city light is during the day.

Do you know if our DRLs use the fog or high beam filament, just curious.

- Yes JDM cain did spray the reflectors. Forgot about that, good call. Just slapping conventional amber bulbs in doesn't work on this car, they don't turn out amber. maybe that idea is pooched.

- Your PS's - If I had to pick I like the 3rd one better, lower to the ground, almost even follows the lines of the car. But that's only if I had to pick.

- Our DRL's use the High beams. they run the two bulbs in Series which splits the power going to them, resulting in that ugly dim yellowly light.

I think I need more LEDs to pull either off. I think 1 looks better than 3 and 2 is bad. Ill upload some pictures with those binder protectors later lol.

In any case if I were going to pursue this, I would need a way to cut the DRLs without cutting the high beams. I think this can be accomplished by severing the wire that leads from the negative terminal of one bulb to the positive terminal of the other. I dont know where that is though.

Is there anywhere I can find the real wiring diagram? My guess involves 2 relays, one normally open/closed and one that switches between 2 outputs.

Yeah that setup looks boss at night but doesn't do the DRL thing.
