There's nothing frail about the diff installed in these cars, open or vlsd, read his next post, the one where he starts backpedaling. Go ahead and insert vlsd in place of vdc in his post and see how much sense it makes:
"If your G has VLSD, then it's an open differential, so it does have slip protection, just not that great, and the open diff design is known to be pretty frail so the part might have been in need of replacement by the time you purchased that car."
I thought VLSD stood for Viscous Limited Slip Differential, maybe I'm wrong
BTW Every G35 sold has VDC, it's standard equipment

Because I'm so misinformed (which you've spelled incorrectly btw), the bigger question is "what is the correlation between the VDC and the VLSD?". I'd give you a cookie if you could actually answer this one. And if you can answer this one, then you should be able to see the flaw in the VLSD design.
What G35 doesn't have VDC? it was standard equipment, with or without VLSD. and how in the world would an open diff need replacing to the point of causing an accident? VDC is much more than slip protection, that's why people go through the hassle of disabling it.

SO wait...what exactly is VDC? I keep seeing it pop up but I am still not 100% sure what it is. Also, may be a silly question....Did the coupes come with two different color guages? I have seen pictures that look orange and some that look yellow. Is that just how they show up in pics?

There are only orange / black gauge clusters in the US, JDM offered a white face.
