What exactly do you mean by drone? I have seen that word a million times! Is it a constant sound at constant rpm and speed? Ie driving on the highway? So a coupe mid would have drone but a 05/06 sedan mid would not?

Yes, that's essentially it...an annoying resonance that sets up in the cabin at certain rpms. A coupe mid doesn't necessarily drone nor an 05 mid eliminate it. I posted a drone video (from a Mustang, IIRC) somewhere, let me see if I can find it.
EDIT: here's a pretty good illustration...

Any "drone" with the coupe is limited to 40-55mph in top gear. If it's irritating, downshift and it goes away.
Also goes away at and above 65

coupe midpipe drone is extremely minor imo unless you have a loud muffler or no muffler

drone would be worse just cutting out the res

maybe...stock muffler?

i have some sort of megan/nismo style y-pipe

i mean i guess on a really steep hill it does a little, nothing like aftermarket catbacks though, why not just go back to stock if it bothers you

^ 03 muffler is smaller then the 05/06 in city driving it would drone a bit but not bad on the highway I could not hear it.

My magnaflow drones a bit in the city and has a low humm at highway but its not too bad. The City one sometimes gets too loud, I would like to fix that but I need more money for that and I dont got any now so ill live with it :P

this is one thing i miss about my rsx, DC Race header to greddy SP2, no drone at all, practically sounded stock during normal driving but it could shoot flames on occasion. too bad all the FWD wheel hop kept cracking the flex pipe

i think most of them have other words as well though

also 962 of my 21,318 posts on clubrsx contain "lol" as well

i bet "fail "also shows up a lot

i think i say both way too often...just a bad habit
