I have a 04.5 X. Is it s good idea to delete the resonator in the midpipe and just put a straight pipe in it's place? I have read many threads but none answered the question: will it sound more like a coupe?

 

^ It will be louder and defiantly change the tone. Alot of the 03/04 guys go and get the 05/06 MP since it gives a better tone.

Though I dont know if it will drone or not with no MP

 

why not just get a coupe mid?

 

^ The coupe MP adds a little bit of drone, it depends on if they care or not.

 

^It's not bad. The only reason you really notice is because our cars are overmuffeld anyway.
Sometimes I think mine drones too much, then I ride with someone else and forget how much better it sounds that sooooo many cars out there
