Random Little Question Thread

^NEVER FLUSH THE TRANSMISSION! I've heard way to many experiances of that messing up a transmission, and a well trusted transmission shop in the area is VERY much against transmission flushes.
Just do a drain and fill, drive 100mi, drain and fill, drive 100mi, drain and fill and you're done.

And what kind of transmission fluid do you recommend?

I'm making this thread so people can ask a random little question without making a totally new thread for that small question that doesn't need a whole thread. Obviously i had to break the ice on this new forum 'tool' (as i am going to put it) and or/idea and make a thread for my random little question. Reply if you want, ask questions if you got 'em!
I don't care if you have said useful stuff in the past, that last post was just useless, and really didn't help Austin at all.
So why did you feel the need to act like a jerk to him and add a useless post at the same time? Are you trying to get the thread locked again? Trolling for attention? Venting some kind of frustration by just generally being difficult with every single post?
Whatever it is that you're doing, do it somewhere else.

Basically, what I was told by an expert was something to the effect of:
'Transmissions are designed and built to circulate fluid a certain way. Anytime you circulate fluid through them differently, either with higher pressure or reverse flow, you risk doing a lot of damage, or siring crap up into the transmission.'
The way his shop did a "flush" was to disconnect the transmission lines, and let the transmission draw in fresh fluid from the "in" line, and discard old fluid through the "out" line using it's own internal pumping mechanism.
As for fluid type? Use what Nissan/Infiniti recommends.
