A/C noise TSB (ITB02-056b). Anyone have it done?

My A/C been making a winding noise (heard w/ accel and decel) every since I got my 03 sedan four years ago. Didn't really think much about it at the time, but it's either gotten progressively louder or I'm just more in tune w/ my car's noises.

Found this TSB on www.infinitihelp.com and I think it applies to my G. The VIN is in the range and I was wondering if Infiniti is still honoring this repair. Has anyone had it done recently. Is there any out of pocket expense? The repair calls for replacing the A/C compressor and other items from a kit. This has to be expensive, so I was wondering what's what. I plan on calling the dealership Monday, but wanted to get a little insight prior to.
Thanks in advance,
rob g.

TSBs are only covered as long as you're under warranty, so it'll be 100% out of pocket for you.

^+1 Call the dealer anyways. You can give them your VIN# and they will be able to tell you if the TSB has been done on your car in the past or not

Thank's guys. I'll be calling them. I remember when I worked at the cycle dealership that manufacturers would help people out and replace/repair under "goodwill" so I was kinda hoping that this might could apply. We'll see. I'm sure not, because of the cost of the repair. I actually just had to get my cam position sensors replaced a few days ago and though it was a recalled item, my VIN number was not in the range (although it was still the same yr/make/model), therefore it was not covered.
Oh well,
Thanks again,
rob g.

Give that a try. Doesn't look good (dollar-wise).

Yeeeeeeahhhhhhhhh... so I called the dealership with the part number off the TSB...

$1056

Looks like I'll just deal with the noisy compressor.
