2005 G35x Sedan Front Seat Question

My front passener seat is no longer operational as it will only recline back, but not move forward. I found a seat to replace it from a 2003 coupe. Does anyone know if this seat will fit in my 2005 sedan?

Thanks.

Yes the Coupe front seat will fit in your Sedan. It likely will not be a direct plug and play, you'll have to do some rewiring to get all of the functions of the seat to operate.

The coupe seats are designed differently, so your best bet would be to replace both front seats. But the coupe seats are also nicer, so bit of an upgrade there

Make sure you try them out, they were very uncomfortable for me anymore then 30minutes. 5'10" 150 pounds. Could fit you different,

Follow up to this post. I ended up finding a seat from a 2004 sedan that had been in an accident (car was totaled and they were parting it out). Since I have installed the new seat, my airbag warning light has been flashing. Is that something that the dealer can fix (reprogram the settings, etc.) or will that airbag light always flash? I know there are sensors in the seat that are causing the light to flash, but I'm wondering if it's an easy fix or if the sensor in the seat would actually need to be replaced. If that's the case, then I guess I'll just live with it.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

Take it in for the recall if it applies to your car. Might be able to get it fixed for free or under warranty.

This issue is pretty common. The seat has a small plastic gear that has been chewed up. Ordered some replacement gears and a motor off of someone here for $100, the fix took me 30 minutes
