is windex safe for rims?

i have some oem 19s. im wondering if windex is safe to use on my rims?
i dont want to water them down since where im currently at i dont think we are allowed to use much water >.> anyhow, i need something simple. and i think windex is the simplest form since i would just spray it on and wipe away,
any info is much appreciated.

You could just go to the auto parts store and get some wheel cleaner..............

don't use spray on wheel cleaners thinking you can just wipe it off. most need to be hosed off vigorously or it will ultimately stain the wheels. wheel quick detailers are a different story.

OP, just use soap & water. use a bucket if folks hassle you for bringing out the hose.

Get some ONR and create a quick detail formula. It works well on the OEM wheels in my experience.

I have used winded for already clean wheels. Doubt it would do anything for dirty ones,

Drive to a car wash....that's what they are for. Use the bay, spray the wheels and have a buddy scrub
