Seat heater Switch 2003 g35 sedan

Hi everyone: Just joined today. I have caused my self a massive headache. I was trying to change the little bulb in my seat heater switch driver/passenger and totally messed up. My switch wont work, the lights will not show that the heater is working. This some how impacted my analog clock light. I changed the bulb for the clock aswell and still wont work. I believe I must have short circuit something. All the fuse seem to be good. i dont have a tester I just pulled the fuses and looked for breaks. They all seem to be fine. I checked the fuse near the driver left foot position and fuses located near the battery. Are there any more fuses I need to check. Which fuse is asociated to the clock and heater switch please.

I would like to know if anyone could kindly recommend were i could buy two more heat warmer switches beside the dealership. I live in Vancouver Canada.

Thank you kindly

I looked everywhere to find one for my 03. Best price I was able to find was from Grubbs. To complicate things, I was told that depending on which 03 you have, there are actually two different parts they used, so when I ordered they needed my VIN to figure out which one I needed. The price wasn't bad though ($32ish) and getting it done fast and easy was worth it.

Thank you kindly Tremelo61. I will contact grubbs to see if they have my model /vin# part. Do you know if there are more then two set of fuse boxes located on 2003 g35 sedan. I changed my clock lights but still no lights working. I think its related to the seat warmer switch not working as both were working until I changed the LED bulb. Thank you kindly.

I only know of two fuse locations. One by the battery and one on the interior, driver's side. I checked with my service manual and it only mentions two as well.

Just thinking about this - Have you tried spinning the bulb around? The bulb sockets are polarized (with no real indication) so they only work one way. I had a friend who thought he had a short only to find out that the light bulb just needed to be turned and put back in. May want to try that if you haven't already, just to rule it out as a possibility.

Thank you Tremelo61. I tried that and that does not work. What is strange I get the light for the heater part of the switch, showing that the heater is working comes on, but not the display showing the orange light for the switch. In all this problem the lights for the odometer control panel does not dim or adjust it stays bright. Can't figure out whats going on. This I believe is tied to my clock light and light for heater switch I have tried different LED bulbs none of them work. Take care

there are 3 fuse box locations. There is one on the interior, drivers left foot. One by the battery and then the biggest pain in the *** - there is one behind the battery. You have to take the battery out to get at it. I had to get there when the fuse that controls the sidemarkers, clock light and glove box light went out.

My seat heaters just stopped working, both at the same time. I was so sure that the only thing I need to replace is the fuse. Fuse for seat heaters located under the hood right next to the battery, if you look on the box cover it will show you location of the fuse. The problem is that the fuse is fine, I also checked it with the voltage meter. I refuse to believe that both of my switches went bad at the same time but I will check them anyways. If this problem is not with blown fuse and switches I heard seat heaters also have module between the seats.

You may need a non-polarized bulb.
