Uncomfortable Seat
Uncomfortable Seat
Was one of the many "sore seat" complainers. Had no luck with Infiniti so I took my car to a car seat upholsterer who spotted the solution immediately. He sliced about an inch off each bracket and welded the shortened bracket back on. Added additional padding and voila` problem solved!
I'm now enjoying my car after 2 months of discomfort.

You're an early bird...
Sorry, no photos. By the time I picked up the car, the work was done and covered. Unfortunately, no pictures were taken. The craftsman didn't think he did anything out of the norm.
When the seat insides are exposed, there is a double bracket that looks like the top half of an H. The top part, with the screw holes is about 2 inches high. He cut off about an inch out of each piece and welded them together. Added additional padding and reattached the controls. The controls are slightly lower than they were originally.
This all according to the way it was explained to me.

From what I gather about your last post.. the controls are
actually lower in the seat than before? What did it cost you?

cato,
Having problems with my computer tonight. Don't know if original reply went out. If it's a repeat - ignore.
The controls are about ½" below the top of the bolster. The unbearable stiff piece that was there is now gone no matter how hard I press into the padding.
Cost - $185. Covers the seat removal, cutting and welding of the brack, extra padding and re-assembly.

Zodiak,
Sorry for the non-reply. Having computer problems.
Had the work done in Moorsetown, NJ. About 17 miles east of Philadelphia. A nice drive down the turnpike from NYC. Would be more than pleased to offer directions and telephone #
