Cat-Back exhaust

I'm looking into getting a cat-back exhaust in the near future, just wondering what the best one to go with would be. I was leaning towards the Stillen; but I've heard many mixed reviews on it. Also i was looking for a Borla one, apparently they don't make one for the '06 sedan(?). The others I've seen are from MeganRacing and Buddy Club. Any recommendations?

no such thing as "best"

what are you looking; sound, performance gains, looks, weight savings?

Primarily performance gains, but i also don't want a 'fart can' sound either.

I say Borla true dual with X-pipe welded in. Or get a custom one done like me

you do have options here. the best route for performance and bang is a custom one. generally customs can run cheaper than a stillen/borla/motordyne unless u do a custom like SDGenius which he picked up quality parts and ran him like 700ish if im right.

Thy do make a borla for the sedan, check out thmmotorposrts website. I'm a bit biased towards motordyne since they focus on the vq engine specifically.

yeah, i don't have a full custom. it's just a Stillen gen 2 w/a custom rear section. i just wanted to make it a true-dual Vs a dual-path.

thoughts on Borla Vs Stillen...

- Borla look's better and Stillen has better performance

- after you mod the Borla w/an X-pipe, they're prob on par w/performance

- i like the sound of the Stillen a bit better but that's just my personal op

- if you have an AT then any aftermarket setup will increase in cabin drone

- if i had to do it all over again, i would prob just go full custom and chose very premium exhaust parts but that's only because i have a number of options for custom exhaust shops. if your area doesn't, then that might not be an option for you.

yea drone will always show on an AT.. the drone on my stillen full exhaust isnt all that bad. i know grant has more drone than i do, but then again he removed his resonators and ran straight pipes up to the catback.
