rear drivers side brake always hot, VDC and Slip sensor showing
I have 2004 sedan with 80k miles on it, recently the VDC and slip warning lights have come on and the drivers side rear brake is always very hot like the brake is sticky, the brake pad is eaten up very quickly, also when i try to but the parking brake on while in netural the car while roll. my main issue is the brake system eating through the pads so quickly and damaging the rotor on the one wheel, any help?
UPDATE: I have replaced the caliper, the warning lights are now off, so far the brake temp seems to be cooler, and at the proper level I will update in a few days, however the parking brake issue still remains
Glad the caliper info helped out...try pushing the parking break down with the car on and then releasing it after a minute or two

Pull the rotor and inspect the drum.
They can also be adjusted per the FSM

My caliper jammed. Rear Driver's side.
I took it apart and thoroughly cleaned/sanded it, reassembled, it was good for about 3-4 months and did it again. So I just replaced it. Hasn't been a problem since.

i actually had it on the rear pass side but again 50 dollar fix was to just replace the caliper and pads 1 hr tops and about $70 dollars in parts good to go but i most def would look at the drum for the park break the shoe could be worn and can also be adjusted.
