Thanks for the responses. The rpms have been where they need to be throughout the rest of the day so I'm thinking I didn't wait long enough to see if the rpm would lower after starting. So I'm gonna keep watching to make sure.

If I were to do battery disconnect, do I disconnect both?

I ended following your link to the Altima page and I think I've read it before in attempting this whole thing. I just love that almost every where I've read, the procedure is slightly tweaked from the last one with the disclaimer *this is the real procedure* haha

Just disconnect the negative terminal.
