RPM drops with each clutch engagement?
This isnt a problem or anything (or it could be not sure...) but I notice in the morning or when ever I start my car cold, with each time I press on the clutch (disengage) and then I let it off (engaged), I would drop around 100 rpm. And it would keep dropping 100 each time I let my foot off the clutch. Im not in gear or anything Id just be warming my car up.
Does this happen to anyone? Im not bothered by it. Just kinda interesting to see....

yeaah! thanks man lol. but what made me notice the RPM drop was BECAUSE of the sound change. It would change too with each engagement....
i don't think it has to do anything with the clutch, i just started mine up...then it drop exactly 100rpm, then dropped another 100rpm again...maybe u noticed it coincidentally??? ( i was pressing my clutch in over and over...nothing) unless u have a another issue...
but if you really think about it, if ur in neutral the transmission should not affect the rpms at all...well cuz its nutral...i believe you just noticed it as a coincident

the sound change is normal, its the um um um damn, i have a brain fart, i forgot the name of the bearing. Thats why its recommended not to hold ur clutch pressed in at stop lights because its extra pressure on the synchros and that bearing wears out faster over time

Here it is! OH and I lied lol I guess it just drops around 20 to 50 rpm with each clutch engagement.
Turn up the volume. You will hear the small "clunk" sound and thats when I engage my clutch and release the pedal. I started my car twice in this video.

I dont know when the ex owner of my car changed the trans oil. I need to go check but I dont think that would be cause of the problem. Theres no fluid in the bell housing where all the movement is happening since Im only in neutral.
this kinda seems more mysterious when I think about it haha. maybe our master cylinders put load on our engines everytime we move our clutch
