I live in NY too, if you go 5% you will get pull over. 20% you will hardly get pulled over, I got pulled over only once in Jamaica (Southside), NY. Now I have 35% in fronts and it doesnt even phase a cop there too light. Its up to you man.

 

What do you think of 35% on the back windows and nothing on the front? I live in NH so my options are limited.

 

30% Nichrome Tint all around



this one doesnt do much justice:

 

I had 20% all around at first,It drove me crazy how light the tint was..IMO it let too much sunlight in during the day.I guess the wheat interior didn't help either,I ended up having my car retinted a few years later 15% on the fronts and 5% on the rear.

 

I just got my rear windows tinted with 35% due to the silly New Hampshire laws but it looks decent. It's not very dark in the daytime but at dusk 35% all the way around would be plenty dark. I think if I could do anything legally I would get 20% all the way around or maybe 35% in the front and 20% in the back.

 

Rodzmaxx your car would look amazing with blacked out or color matched emblems

 

I have 30% on my car with black interior. I got pulled over once and that was on a rainy day but on sunny/clear days; no problem at all.

It all depends on the cop and what mood he/she is in that day.
