Thumbs up Bad 6 speed, Kudos to Millennium Infiniti

Brought my 2003.5 6MT in for oil change today and told the service writer (Robbie) at Millennium Infiniti about the grinding going into 6th gear. I informed him that I read quite a few posts here about problems people were having with the first few manual trannies in the G35's.
After a test drive, and a call to Infiniti, I was told I'll be getting a new tranny and a clutch plate to boot sometime after new years. This took all of one hour while I waited for my oil change.
Very professionally handled. I couldn't ask for anything more.
Thank you Millennium Infiniti

Marko

I didn't buy the car from them. Bought it from Atlantic Infiniti. They were more than happy to service my car. They're a little more convenient for me than Atlantic.

Why would the dealer care if you bought the car from him as dealers make the same $ on service whether or not you bought the car from them. To them its just more business and I gotta believe that a high % of the dealership profits comes from warranty work since they get paid from Infiniti for this work.

What a dumb dealership to discriminate like that and lose potential customers. Sounds like some pea brain is running the place.

As far as I know, Infiniti has a policy that gives out loaner cars no matter where you purchased your infiniti. That was told to me by the dealer. Of course, you'll have to schedule ahead for your appointment.
