I thought it looked pretty good left as brushed aluminum..?

i sanded mine down with 3k sand paper and polished it up.. looks nice

Im sure some people havent had issues but mine i had to tighten the screw with the allen key every so often. And sometimes the button wouldnt engage or id turn off the car and was unable to remove the keys off the ignition. It felt wabbly at times. So i just got myself and 05 06 oem shift **** and im happy with it.

How much did that run you if you dont mind me asking?

30.00$ used on Craigslist. The aluminum trim was peeling like the OP but i put 3M Di Noc CF vinyl over it
