Driving my dad's 2000 Avalon around is like torture. 4 sp auto and I get seasick from the floaty suspension.
I miss driving my G. I have to pretend there's 2 newborn babies in the back to make sure I don't overdrive this land yacht. Almost plowed though a corner the other day

Don't get black, especially living in a rainy area like Seattle. My last two cars have been black and I will never own another dark colored car again. Black is like a mirror; therefore, it shows every panel imperfection. It's nearly impossible to photograph and it's a pain to keep clean. Black also shows surface damage much more. Black washes out design definition as well and limits you from going many directions with styling enhancements. With black, you're pretty much forced to go for the all black look if you really want to set the car off and the problem with that is when there is so much black, the tires will look brown and the wheel wells excessively dirty.
From here on out, my cars will be silver, gray, or white.

You wouldn't believe how many black/gray cars that are here in the NW(and they are all dirty). But I get it though. I might go maroon just to be different.
Every other G in MN is black... every other car in MN is black... its almost like, a boring color now. Everyone like a sleek black car, but now they all have it and it has no definition... It is kind of an old school color. Not really modern looking lol..

Might end up with black. The burgandy one that was on the market for 5 months sold the weekend I finally decided to just buy local.(duh!) There's a 08 about a 1 hour south of me that I have my eye on now.

Ended up getting da brack. Deal was too good to pass up. Got them down under $20k w/ 40k miles. It's a 2008. Has the non-sport 18s but I'll use them for winter wheels. Blizzaks should be cheaper in 18s. Drives really good. Firm and responsive. But BIG. This this is bbiigg. OH well, break out the buffing equipment! So after getting paid out for the G, I was able just throw in some additional cash and simply write a check for the difference.

Since that's done, I'll start pulling out all the aftermarket parts I have and post a big For Sale thread. Had quite a bit of stuff waiting to go in when the wreck happened.

Compared to the 2003 G, it's better. But compared to a 2008 Infiniti, it's certainly not as nice.Or as optioned up. Hell there's no homelink. wtf? But it's an easy add on
You think that's nicer than a 1st gen? Meh.
The interior is really the only main thing that'd steer me away from that car, but then again, anything can be modified
And it does look good. Congrats again man

My leather panels were peeling off and the guages were orange. I don't think Infiniti did a great job on the 1st gen Gs. By 2008, Infiniti was defiantely alot better.
