eBay intakes

http://www.ebay.com/itm/INFINITI-G35...aed6ec&vxp=mtr

Anyone used this eBay intake? Just wondering how well it fits. Really just wanting it for the tube because I can't find a z tube anywhere. Those things get snatched quick

Edit: link fixed

I'm sure they do. Just not looking to spend $100+ if a $40 part will do the job. After that sound is all.

You can't find a Z tube? Seriously? Keep checking the market place, or speak to one of the sponsors on the site.

I can't speak for that one specifically, but we installed something simular on my friends Maxima and it didn't turn out the greatest. The position of the filter is not correct due to them using generic parts to do the job, instead of specifically designed OEM parts.

Spend the money and get something that has proven to give atleast some gains, and is astetically pleasing

I guess I'm too impatient. Wife tells me all the time. I've checked all the staple sites for about three weeks straight. Anything that has popped up is taken by the time I'm able to look.

That intake you posted won't do anything for performance due to heat soak. The metal piping it uses will get nice and hot too.

Welp, thanks for shootin' me straight. I'll keep up the quest for a z tube.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say get it. But as you said, use the tube only and ditch the rest of the intake. I know the masses will say the aluminum tube will induce some heat soak, but I'm running a polished Z tube with my intake, I live in Cebtral texas where the heat gets brutal, and I haven't had an issue with my intake. (R2C) I did try a pop charger 3 years ago and sold it w/in 3 weeks of installing it.

Pair that tube with a stock intake with a drop in filter, or better yet pair it with the front half of the R2C and you'll be really happy.

You will loose power with that intake. Our stock air boxes have built in velocity stacks. They are awesome with a z-tube + drop in

+1 on the Z-tube. I tried to go cheap with one of those when I bought my car and all it did was make it a little noisier. I bought a stillen z-tube and i thought I could actually feel a difference under acceleration. Heres a link to one on ebay.

Short rams are louder so that could be what u want. I have a Nismo CAI and my car ran better and sounds damn nice! Weirdly before, I did 70mph in 6th gear at 2500 RPM. Then after the CAI I did 70 mph at 2450 rpm... I dunno why.

I dont care what any one says my CAI gained me a little torque. When I had a short ram setup though I felt no gain. Simply because it was sucking hot air next to the engine.

But now that my filter is all the way down my bumper it gets all the cool air whenever....

oh yeah and it sounds damn nice

Thanks for the stillen link. That's probably the cheapest z tube Ive seen. I'm after the sound but def don't want to lose any performance. This and a drop in FTW.
