You won't feel any difference in power under acceleration with a Z-Tube. This is a placebo effect.

 

hey OP if u really want to keep it cheap u can convert ur G tube into something similar to a z tube. you just need to cut the bottom piece off and plug it with something.

I was about to do this too cuz spending 60+ for a tube thats a tiny bit different is kinda stupid. I never did it cuz i ended up buying a CAI and couldn't be more happy!

 

hardware stores sell rubber "caps" that can be used to plug holes like wat the nismo cai used to plug some hole it comes with. btw anyone kno why the nismo cai comes with a hole that gets plugged anyway?

Did you try Z1motorsports? I've seen them there.

 

You can get a aluminum powder coated one on Z1 for a few bucks more if that's your thing.....

 

yeah ive noticed that on mine too. Im thinking its part of the manufacturing process. engines haves plugs that look exactly like those. Except metal of course and u would need a welding torch to heat it up in order to take them out.
