New 05x w/ bad seat motor...

Hey all

Just bought an 05 x sedan and seat won't move forward. No jams in the track. When I push the button to move it, I hear the click under the seat, but no movement.

Bad motor or relay?

Thanks. DD

Pretty standard, good news is you hear clicking meaning the motor is working and it's just the plastic gear that has been ground down. Usually happens when something gets jammed in there or they just fail. You can buy just the replacement gears. I think I even saw a member selling them in the vendor group by. Cost you $20 and an hour and a half of your time. Hardest part is lifting that heavy *** seat out of the without scratching anything.

Sorry, I'll define the clicking. I push the button to go forward, and it clicks once where I push and once under my seat on the left side. There is no continuous clicking, like a gear spinning.

Thanks for the quick reply as well.
