Radar detector.
Bel rx65pro. you will not be dissapointed.
If you consider a used one, a lot of options become available to you. I personally have a Passport 8500 X50 Blue and it is a solid all-around radar detector. I trust it completely. The only time I received a ticket with it was when I was dumb enough to ignore its laser chirp while I was listening to loud music and trying to maneuver in traffic.
FWIW, Escort and Bel are pretty much identical detectors. So I would go with which ever is cheapest.

If you have an auto dim mirror, you can get power from the plug in the back. Search for "Invisicord" and "Mikes Mount". I made my own cord using an old phone cord for my Escort 9500 and a Mikes mount will hang it off the mirror extention so it's out of the way.

Hahah Im all set with that. I don't want to spend 500 bucks haha. The rx65 seems to be exactly what I need.
Does anyone know exactly what type of invisicord I need if I am getting the rx65 pro? I went to invisicord and it doesn't categorize it by radar detector but I feel like it would have to. Wouldn't different radar detectors get their power differently?
i never quite understood the love affair with valentine. Yes the arrows are cool, but they consistently seem to have poorer range than their competitors and at a higher price.
