I have a 04 that has a p1111 code. I was told it was the intake valve timing solenoid. I replaced both because I didnt know which one was bad. I tried to reset the ecu but failed like 10x so I gave up. I could get it to blink and all but soon as I started the car it would come back on. I did the battery disconnect and it would stay off for a about 1 to 2 key turns. If replacing the Timing solenoid was the problem will the computer turn the light off itself? Is there a way to make sure which solenoid was bad or if the ones I got are good? This problem is getting old.
