G35 2004 Sedan - OEM Exhaust busted
My 65K G35 Sedan's OEM Exhaust has rusted and broken at the mufller/mid pipe intersection. Dealer is kinda nuts and says he will charge 2300 to fix all including new Y pipe. I showed him the f_inger and left. another local mechanic said he can get it done with OEM for $1200. But I'v been reading these forums and seems like I may be able to get it done for a lot cheaper by purchasing online myself.
Can someone recommend an aftermarket exhaust which is good but not crazy expensive. My budget is around 600$ but flexible. Where can i purchase it from? Couldnt find in hte marketplace or on craigslist. Nothing great on ebay as well.
think i will change everything including Y-pipe. Suggestions plz.

@G:driver - Mine is AWD. I am looking for an exhaust that is neither too noisy, nor boring. ofcourse, it not like I can swap it out easily once its installed so what to make the right choice. Apart from amazon, any website where I can get everything as one package - muffler, midpipe and Y pipe..

Great thread for us. Glad to hear we both have awd, let's figure this out together lol. So our y pipe is like an HR y pipe so we need an oem y pipe. Then it says stillen gen 2 exhaust, not sure if that's a midpipe and muffler together or what. But if you could find oem y pipe, coupe midpipe, and an oem muffler (same as rwd) then your in the game. I live in PA I see this stuff being sold constantly in Cali, hurts my heart to think about shipping charges. It would be really hard for me to find this stuff for a gOod price where I live
