What Car Charger do you guys use? 6MT Issue

It seems impossible to find a good micro usb car charger that doesn't get in the way of our cars shifting into 5th.

I found one but it got loose and all of them stick way too far out. Figured id ask if any of you have had any luck since we are in the same situation

Plug it into the port in the center console. There is a little passage in the front for the wire to come out when you close the lid. I have a 5AT so there could be some differences.

Doesn't really help me because I use a window cell mount so it has to go in the front and our consoles are setup slightly differently if im not mistaken

You could go nuts and hard wire it in. That's what I did for my Sirius radio that is mounted on the side of my radio. That way you could hide the wire to wherever you want.

It has a hinge so that you can change the angle. 90° works for me.

I just use one like this.

Can't remember where I picked it up from. but I think they are fairly common.

If you need microUSB, just buy a cable as well.

Funny thing is with the low profile chargers it completely defeats the purpose if you plug the cable in afterwards as that then gets in the way of the shifter.

Except that while the charger is low profile, the second you plug a usb cable in it, it then extends right into where we shift into 5th gear.
